Panaji (Goa) – India continues to face the threat of cross-border terrorism. Financing of terrorists should be stopped. One of the basic objectives of this organization is to combat terrorism. Turning a blind eye to terrorism will be detrimental to our security. We firmly believe that there can be no justification for terrorism. Ways of fueling cross-border terrorism should be stopped. India's Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar lashed out at the Shanghai Cooperation Council, which began here on May 4, for not naming Pakistan. After meeting Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto in this conference meeting, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar presented the above formula. Apart from Pakistan, foreign ministers of all member countries including China, Russia have participated in this meeting.
1. Jaishankar held a bilateral meeting with foreign ministers of China, Russia and Uzbekistan on May 4. In a discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the two leaders reviewed multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
2. Jaishankar also held a meeting with Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister Qin Gang. The talks focused on resolving pending issues and ensuring peace and tranquility in the border areas.
3. Jaishankar also met Uzbekistan's Foreign Affairs Minister Saidov. Jaishankar expressed the belief that 'bilateral partnership will grow in different fields'.
No handshake from Jaishankar, just a hello!
Jaishankar welcomed Bilawal Bhutto. When the representatives of the two countries come together, they shake hands. Jaishankar, however, avoided shaking hands with Bhutto, and there was no interaction between them. Jaishankar warned Bhutto to go to the venue of the meeting.
